I have to admit: although, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day – I don’t always get to eat breakfast in the mornings. I have a bad habit of drinking one (or three) cups of coffee and forgetting to eat until mid-afternoon. So, I’m always on the hunt for great brunch spots for dining alone or with friends. Luckily for me, there is a handful of daytime eateries and restaurants in Colorado Springs that serve delicious brunch options. My fav brunch spot picks are based on yummy menu choices, a beautiful space, fun ambiance, and of course good drinks. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite brunch restaurants in Colorado Springs as well as a list of those I plan to dine at based on local recommendations.
Note: I don’t always remember to take pics of my food but I strongly believe that you can’t make an educated brunch decision without visually seeing the goods. So I’m also using photos from the restaurants’ websites and/or Instagram. Each photo is linked to its owner.
Garden of the Gods Market and Cafe
410 S 26th St
I spotted this restaurant on my way to Cripple Creek, CO with my husband and I made it a mission to check it out when I had the chance. My girl, Joyce, and I went there on a beautiful Sunday before a little retail therapy. We were not disappointed. The ambiance in the Garden of the Gods Market and Cafe was perfect for our girls day out brunch. There wasn’t a huge crowd so our food was brought out to us almost immediately after ordering. We had a great experience.
What to Order: Southwest Eggs Benedict and a Breezy Latte. Full menu here.
Over Easy, A Daytime Eatery
28A S Tejon St, Downtown
My husband and I visit here every other week together or with friends. The drinks are perfect, the food is great, and the location is convenient enough for a stroll through the city to walk off the fullness from eating too much! My waiters are always top notch and my food is always hot. The only thing that I don’t care for is the wait times. I’ve never had to wait for less than 30 minutes, unfortunately, but we also always come for brunch around peak times. So, I’d definitely plan to revisit when its less busy but the food is honestly worth the wait.
What to Order: Coconut Creme French Toast and Sunrise On The Peak Mimosa. Full menu here.
Urban Steam
1025 S Sierra Madre St
I visited this artsy little spot by myself one weekend morning and I’m so glad that I did. I’ve heard great things about it and was dying to try their food. It was super packed and I had to park around the corner in the neighborhood. I didn’t mind the quick walk, though, because there was a cute green house next to it that was fun to look at. I waited for a little while (longer than I wanted to) to be served but it was well worth the wait. The Southern Comfort stood out to me for obvious reasons – hello, chicken and waffles! And I was pleasantly surprised when I bit into my food. It was heaven to my taste buds!
What to Order: The Southern Comfort, add the optional egg. Cubano con Leche or Le Mimosa. Full menu here.
Yum! Just looking at these photos again makes me want to call my girlfriends up for an impromptu girly brunch date. And I think I just might do that very soon :).

These spots all look delicious! I am glad I’m not the only one who enjoys dining by herself occasionally. I’m pinning this so I can revisit when I travel to Colorado Springs.

That coconut french toast looks so good and I love chicken and waffles! I’m visiting Colorado for the first time this summer – hopefully I’ll get to stop at one of these restaurants.
